Ingredients
Method
- Make the dough: Mix the warm milk, honey, and yeast; rest 5 minutes until foamy. Add the egg, melted butter, salt, and both flours. Knead 6–8 minutes until smooth. Cover and rise 1 hour, until doubled.
- Roll and fill: Roll the dough into a 12x9-inch rectangle. Spread with the softened butter, then sprinkle the coconut sugar and cinnamon. Roll up tightly from the long side and cut into 9 rolls.
- Bake: Place the rolls in a greased 9-inch pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–24 minutes until golden.
- Glaze: Whisk the glaze ingredients together and spread over the warm rolls.
Notes
Nutrition per roll (approximate): 220 calories, 6g protein, 36g carbs, 6g fat. Short on time? Shape the rolls, place them in the pan, refrigerate overnight, and bake fresh in the morning. White whole-wheat flour adds fiber while keeping the rolls soft. Make sure the milk is only warm (about 110°F) — too hot will kill the yeast.
